One of the weaknesses of the controls we can apply to distribution groups is that the sender can simply expand the distribution group in Outlook and send the email message to all of the members as individual recipients. I know that I could create Office 365 contact pointing to on-premise dynamic distribution group. I know that they are not synchronized by AADSync.
There is just one(or two) things you need to do manually, assign licenses… It automates user creation and makes you able to master all user creation changes from on premises.
Next, click ‘New Contact Group’ in Outlook’s main ribbon, located at the top of your screen. You’ll find the folder pane on the left-hand side of your Outlook screen.
